I'm about 10 days into my trip to the Philippines and I stumble upon this, since Tomica is not available in Canada I instantly grab a cart and start going crazy then I decided it might be a good idea to check the price before going to the register and long behold 169 pesos each! WTF $4.25 a piece??? I had to put them all back I could not bring myself to pay that much for these (for comparison hotwheelz are about $2.50 here). some things are way cheaper in the Philippines but Diecast cars is not one of those things.

Hey man, you find an Audi 80 quattro, a fastback 1st-Gen Celica, a red GTV6, an Audi RS2 Avant, or a Saab 9-2X Aero and I will pay for those shits.

The Tomica Limited Vintage retails 20 bucks each. For 1/64.

And even more expensive is limited editions like this skyline.

Diecast cars are anything but cheap in South East Asia.

I'm suspecting I missed a spot by not writing "spend all the money my peers would have spent at Sarbucks in die cast cars" on that list of New Year's resolutions.

I'm gonna bring 4000 pesos with me($100 CAD) and buy as many as I can. If I bring more money I will spend more money Guarantied!. stay tunes in the next few days and I will upload what I bought.

Tomicas are partially more expensive because their castings are a little finer and their packaging is reusable after you oen them, which is more attractive to collectors.
